A reference lens common to left and right is defined, an object-side angle of view of light rays passing through each of a plurality of prescribed sample points on the reference lens is calculated, and light rays with which the object-side angle of view in a prescription lens matches the calculated object-side angle of view are calculated. As a result, respective positions on the prescription lens are obtained, said positions being where light rays having the same object-side angle of view as light rays corresponding to each of the sample points on the reference lens transit. The ratio of the distance between the sample points on the reference lens and a point where the reference lens intersects with the visual axis in a frontal view, to the distance between the light-ray transition points on the prescription lens and a point where the prescription lens intersects with the visual axis in a frontal view is calculated, and the curvature distribution of the prescription lens is corrected by respectively correcting for left and right, on the basis of the ratio, the curvature at the prescription-lens light-ray transit positions corresponding to each object-side angle of view. |
