The invention relates to metallurgy and in particular to the thermochemical treatment (TCT) of the steel products, in particular to a boriding in the solid phase medium. A method for boriding steel products provides boriding in containers with heating and holding in two stages. At the first stage boriding is carried out for 3-4 hours at a temperature of 880-, and then begin the second stage, raising the temperature up to 980- and hold it for 0.3-1.5 hours. A composition for boriding contains, by wt. %: 76-92 boron carbide, sodium fluoride 3-5, sodium carbonate 2-4, nickel oxide 3-15. The claimed method of TCT ensures the increasing of surface wear resistance during the processes of operation, allows to create a modified diffusion zone with greater depth with less fraility and roughness. |
