PURPOSE: An energy-saving ship is provided to reduce the power consumption for driving the existing ventilator and blower by employing a wind turbine ventilation fan and additionally generate power from a micro wind turbine. CONSTITUTION: An energy-saving ship comprises a pair of air ducts(2), a plurality of air inlet pipes(3), an air discharge pipe, a wind turbine ventilation fan(4), and a micro wind turbine(1). The air ducts are formed along side walls of a hull. The air inlet pipes are branched from the air ducts and connected to the upper part of a cargo hold. The air discharge pipes are installed in the vertical direction, with outlet located outside the cargo hold. The wind turbine ventilation fan is rotated by the flux of air flowing in the hull and creates negative pressure at the outlet of the air discharge pipe to discharge the interior air of the cargo hold. The inlets of the air ducts are formed in the longitudinal direction of the hull to smoothly draw in the air during sailing. The micro wind turbine is installed at the inlets of the air ducts. |
