Process for the reduction of the viscosity of crude oils substantially comprising a separation step of said crude oils (in order to separate a light fraction and a heavy fraction having a residual water content not higher than 1,400 ppm) and a treatment step of said heavy fraction by means of microwave irradiation (in continuous or pulsed mode), operating at temperatures ranging from 50 to 350°C, for a time period of between 1 second and 120 minutes and with frequencies ranging from 0.3 to 300 GHz. |
