PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timer detection device capable of accurately detecting a timer-controlled appliance. SOLUTION: An abnormality detection apparatus 4 including a timer detection device detects a timer-controlled appliance on the basis of a current value measured by a current measurement unit 21 in order to detect abnormality of a resident. The timer detection device includes: the current measurement unit 21 for measuring distribution quantity of a current flowing in interior wiring 8; an operating state specification unit 42 for specifying a time when the appliance operates on the basis of history of the distribution quantity measured by the current measurement unit 21; and a timer operation specification unit 43 for specifying a time when the appliance operates in a timer-controlled manner on the basis of a distribution of a frequency at which the appliance operates at each time.
