The manifold (10) has an effluent stream leading planar shell (12) and an entry flange (16), which is in attachment to a component of an internal combustion engine. The shell is completely opened at an entrance side (19) pointing to the entry flange and secured along borders (28) of an aperture at the entry flange. Closure caps partly overlap with a base part (24). The shell is formed of a metal sheet i.e. ferrite sheet steel. The shell comprises a suction (30) that encloses an exit flange (18) at the shell. A gas-conveying inner pipe (14) is arranged in the shell. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an exhaust gas manifold. |
