A receiver for demodulating a multiplex signal comprising a stereo sum signal; a stereo difference signal; and a pilot signal is provided said receiver including a pilot signal analyzer configured to generate a pilot signal quality indicator based on a quality of the pilot signal; a further signal analyzer configured to generate a further signal quality indicator, e.g. based on a quality of the stereo difference signal; an indicator combiner configured to generate a combined quality indicator based on the pilot signal quality indicator and the further signal quality indicator; and a signal combiner configured to combine the stereo sum signal and a fraction of the stereo difference signal, said fraction being determined by the combined quality indicator. A corresponding method is provided as well. |
