A portable terminal including an antenna integrated battery and a method using the same is provided to improve the performance of the antenna without interference with metal object around the antenna and to maintain the characteristics of the antenna stably. A wireless transceiver(450) performs a wireless communications function. A switching unit(470) performs a switching operation as a recognition terminal in order to recognize an antenna integrated battery. The switching unit performs wireless communication through the antenna from a wireless transceiver. A controller(480) controls in order to supply power from the antenna integrated battery to a embedded battery in sequence. |
