The present invention discloses a data transmission method using a direct communication to transmit and receive data through a data channel mutually by composing a frame for performing direct communication between terminals using a competition-based bandwidth request channel, a bandwidth allocation notification channel, and the data channel, and by which a target destination for receiving the data transmits a signal indicating successful reception of the bandwidth request message to the bandwidth allocation notification channel corresponding to the competition-based bandwidth request channel if a source terminal for transmitting the data transmits the bandwidth request message to request the assignment of the data channel via the competition-based bandwidth request channel.
