The present invention relates to a disk brake for a vehicle, which rubs brake pads, which is operated by a cylinder inside a disk rotated in the braking of a vehicle, together to change kinetic energy into thermal energy, to discharge the thermal energy into the atmosphere, and to decelerate or stop the rotating disk. The present invention compresses the disk by sliding around a fixed caliper on one side of which a piston and the cylinder are installed and the other side of which causes a reaction of the brake pads; increases braking power by moving the internal cylinder along a slope instead of a horizontal line; and enables users to easily recognize a time for replacing the brake pads by installing a contact type sensor at the tip end of the brake pads.
