The purpose of the present invention is to delay the decomposition of sterilants within a tank or a cartridge whereby an extraction tube is inserted. A sterilization device sterilizes an object by extracting the sterilants from the cartridge including the sterilants. The sterilization device comprises; the extraction tube which extracts the sterilants from the cartridge; and a moving unit which moves the extraction tube so that the position of the extraction tube for the cartridge when the sterilants in the cartridge are extracted through the extraction tube is different from the position of the extraction tube for the cartridge when the extraction of the sterilants from the cartridge are on standby.
