The present invention relates to a multicolor overprinting method by a gravure offset printing unit for a security currency effect. More particularly, the present invention provides a printing method having a surety currency effect by printing a pattern in which a character, a landscape, a figure, a letter, and a number of a bill are formed in thin and long lines and dotted lines due to a depressive plate effect by a gravure printing plate, in which gravure offset printing units are provided for colors of the pattern, a plurality of gravure offset printing units are provided by adding gravure offset printing units according to corrosion degrees of the depressions of the color patterns, a high viscosity ink is filled in the corroded depression of the gravure printing tube corroded according to the original degree of the bill adopted by the gravure offset printing units and is transferred to a blanket cylinder to be printed on a printing film such that the printing is performed in the order of the adjacent gravure offset printing units in multiple stages. According to the multicolor overprinting method by a gravure offset printing unit for a security currency effect suggested by the present invention, printing is performed in multiple stages by using a plurality of gravure offset printing units (100) to obtain a security currency effect.
