The present invention relates to an apparatus for operating fluorescent lights in multiple rows which includes: a first fluorescent light lighting unit including a first fluorescent light; a second fluorescent light lighting unit including a second fluorescent light; a power cord which receives electric power; a switching part which supplies electric power to either the first fluorescent light lighting unit or the second fluorescent light lighting unit, both the first fluorescent light lighting unit and the second fluorescent light lighting unit, or neither the first fluorescent light lighting unit or the second fluorescent light lighting unit. Therefore, the apparatus for operating fluorescent lights in multiple rows having one operation circuit and two or more fluorescent lights installed thereon can selectively turn on one fluorescent light or multiple fluorescent lights. According to the present invention, the apparatus can easily adopt an alternate light lighting system to reduce energy consumption.
