The method involves increasing the occupancy rate of objects (5) to a maximum rate in accumulation conveyors (C1, C2) whose occupancy rate is strictly less than the maximum rate of transition conveyors (C3, C4) when the flow rate of a downstream processing machine (B) is less than that of an upstream processing machine (A). The occupancy rate of objects is decreased up to a threshold rate in the transition conveyors whose occupancy rate is strictly greater than the threshold rate when the flow rate of the downstream processing machine is greater than that of the upstream processing machine. An independent claim is also included for a device for conveying objects using a continuous succession of conveyors from a machine to another machine.
