PURPOSE: A reactor coolant pump is provided to control the leakage of coolant by including a first and a second sealing member. CONSTITUTION: A reactor coolant pump comprises a pumping unit (110), a driving unit (120), a first sealing member (220), and a second sealing member (230). The pumping unit pumps coolant. The driving unit provides driving power to the pumping unit. The first sealing member is rotatably installed around a lower shaft of the pumping unit. The second sealing member is separately arranged from the first sealing member. The second sealing member accesses the first sealing member when the second sealing member stops at the first sealing member. An elastic unit provides elastic forces to the second sealing member to separate the second sealing member from the first sealing member. |
