The present invention relates to a phase difference layer, a polarizing plate and an image display device including the same, and more specifically, to a polarizing plate and an image display device including the same, including a polymer in which halogen represented by chemical formula 1 is substituted, thereby improving a dispersion characteristic and an optical axis characteristic so as to improve brightness and chromaticity and comprising the phase difference layer formed only by coating without a separate alignment process and the phase difference layer thereof, and having excellent compensation performance at a front surface thereof and at an inclined surface thereof.
