<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a restraint harness for restraining a patient on a bed or some other support surface.SOLUTION: A restraint harness 10 comprises: a restraining belt 38 comprising a bed strap 44, which is fastened to the bed or other support surface, and a waist strap 40, the restraining belt being strapped onto a patient; a central strap section 12 which is arranged lengthwise along the patient and at the patient's back in such a way that it crosses over the waist strap; an upper restraining element 26 and a lower restraining element which prevent the patient from sliding upward and downward out of the waist strap; and an upper body strap 14 which is attached to the central strap section. In this configuration, the upper restraining element and the lower restraining element are connected to an upper end and a lower end of the central strap section, respectively, and have an unattached ends 34 and 22 which are guided to the front of the patient's upper body. The upper body strap is guided around the upper body of the patient above the waist strap and has two unattached ends 16. The unattached end of the upper restraining element and the unattached end of the lower restraining element have fastening means for attaching these two unattached ends to each other.</p> |
