Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for supporting a remote operation of a moving object. The apparatus for supporting a remote operation of a moving object includes an image acquisition unit to provide peripheral environment image information of the moving object according to movement of the moving object; a signal processing unit to analyze a peripheral environment and a current situation of the moving object based on the peripheral environment image information to generate a virtual safety area based on the analyzed information, and to provide an operation auxiliary signal for supporting an operation of the moving object; a display unit to simultaneously display the peripheral environment image information and the safety area information of the moving object, and a remote operation unit to perform an operation auxiliary process corresponding to a provided operation auxiliary signal. Accordingly, mistake of an operator remotely operating the moving object may be prevented and the operator may easily operate the moving object. |
