<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clay dispersion from which a clay thin film having heat resistance and water resistance made compatible with each other can be obtained, and to provide a method for producing the clay dispersion, as well as the clay thin film formed of the clay dispersion.SOLUTION: In a clay thin film, the clay component is an organically modified clay. The organically modified clay is obtained by ion-exchange of hydrophilic cations of a swelling clay with organic onium ions. Each of substituents existing adjacent to a positively charged atom of the organic onium ion is an alkyl group or a phenyl group. The substituent has 6 or less carbon atoms, and each of the one or more substituents is an ethyl group or a methyl group.</p> |
