<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder and an image formation apparatus configured to be free from the influence of load from a pickup roller and realizing stabilization of a sheet interval during continuous feeding of sheets in a type of interlocking the pickup roller with a retard roller.SOLUTION: A sheet feeder includes a pair of separation rollers including a feed roller 2 transporting a sheet fed by a pickup roller 1 and a retard roller 3 to which a rotational force for returning the sheet in an opposite direction to a sheet feed direction via a torque limiter is applied in a state of pressure-contacting the feed roller 2. The sheet feeder further includes: a rotation transmission mechanism transmitting rotation of the retard roller 3 at a time of feeding the sheet in the sheet feed direction to the pickup roller 1; and a separation pressure change unit that switches a separation pressure for pressure-contacting the retard roller 3 with the feed roller 2 in response to a reaction force transmitted from the pickup roller 1 to the retard roller 3.</p> |
