Disclosed is an electric storage device comprising an electrolyte containing electrolyte salts and an organic solvent, a negative electrode, and a positive electrode having a nitroxyl compound that has a nitroxyl cation partial structure represented by formula (1) when in an oxidized state, that has a nitroxyl radical partial structure represented by formula (2) when in a reduced state, and that carries out a reaction represented by reaction formula (A) for giving and receiving electrons between the two states, the electric storage device being characterised by comprising a coating film formed by means of the advance decomposition of at least one among 1, 3-propane sultone and vinylene carbonate prior to the assembly of the device. The electric storage device according to the present invention has a high output and excellent reliability at high temperatures. |
