PURPOSE:To secure stability of a vehicle even with unexpected disturbance during operation at high speed by steering front wheels at a proper angle as a steering wheel is moved, and also steering rear wheels at a proper angle in response to a signal from a controller. CONSTITUTION:When a vehicle is attacked by cross wind during operation at high speed or by strong cross wind during operation under the condition of strong wind, the vehicle tends to shift to the downwind side because of a pressure difference between both sides of the vehicle body. But the forces that shift the vehicle to the downwind side are different at the front and rear portions of the vehicle because of factors of all kinds such as the shape of the vehicle body, the angle formed between the direction of the wind and that in which the vehicle runs, etc., and the stability of the vehicle during running is lowered by the difference. Therefore rear wheels are steered at a proper angle according to the third pressure difference detected from the detected values of air pressure sensors 53a, 53b so that the stability of the vehicle in running straight can be obtained even with cross wind or the like. |
