A backlight unit and a liquid crystal display including the same for improving the production yield are provided to simplify the configuration of the backlight unit and reduce manufacturing cost. A bottom cover(170) is formed of the metal material. A lamp wire(153) is drawn in the side of the bottom cover. An inducing hole is formed so that the lamp wire be drawn out for the outside direction from the inside of the bottom cover. A first bending part the lamp wire which is drawn from the inducing hole is contacted with the sharp side of the bottom cover. A reflective cover(160) comprises a guide unit. The guide unit guides the lamp wire of the domain which is met with the inducing hole of the bottom cover in the outside direction. The guide unit prevents from the lamp wire being contacted with the sharp cross section of the reflective cover. A panel guide(130) comprises the second bending part in the domain corresponding to the leader of the bottom cover. The second bending part prevents the lamp wire from being damaged by the sharp side of the peripheral region of the panel guide. |
