<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absolute type rotary encoder small in size and fewer in number of tracks used for input operation part of various electronic apparatuses.SOLUTION: In an arrangement of a contact pattern 26 disposed on a concave bottom plane of a case 21, a common contact 36 is disposed on a first track T1 from the center; signal contacts 37A and 37B are disposed on a third track T3 from the center; and signal contacts 37C and 37D are disposed on a second track T2 from the center. In the contacts 28-32 which are in contact with the contact pattern 26, the contacts 29 and 30 corresponding to the third track T3 from the center have a phase difference of generally 180 degree from the respective disposed positions. The contacts 31 and 32 corresponding to the second track T2 from the center have a phase difference of generally 90 degree from the respective disposed positions.</p> |
