摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building construction method capable of shortening a construction period, and an underground skeleton of a new building.SOLUTION: In a building construction method for building a new building 2 by utilizing an existing building 1 with an n-storied subsurface section (n is a natural number equal to or more than 2), a ground skeleton of the existing building 1 is demolished and new underground columns 23 are constructed while existing underground slabs 14 in a section from a subsurface first story to a subsurface n-1-th story of the existing building are left. An underground skeleton of the new building 2 is constituted of: the existing underground slabs 14 of the subsurface n stories of the existing building; a temporary concrete bottom plate 21a provided on the existing underground slabs; a new reinforced-concrete bottom plate 21b provided on the temporary concrete bottom plate; new underground columns 23 raised from the existing underground slabs; and new underground slabs 24 connected to an existing underground external wall 10. The underground columns are embedded in the new bottom plate in a foot protecting manner.
