<p>The present invention prevents, to the greatest extent possible, the incidence of defectives having different kinds of labels attached thereto. This long-sized-labe l inspection device is provided with a joint detection means (4) for detecting a joint at which long-sized labels (10) are connected together, an identifier read ing means (5) for reading a label identifier provided on individual long-sized labe ls (10) to identify a kind of label at least ahead of and following a joint thereof, and a determination means (1) for determining whether the label identifiers ahead of and following the joint are the same or not. The label identifier is a phototube mark constituting a reference for a position at which to cut. The phototube mark differs in shape depending on the kind of label. The identifier reading means (5) is an image sensor for reading the shape of the phototube mark.</p> |
