PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printer capable of improving the stability of the image quality of a printed image with respect to the number of passes as compared with a conventional technique.SOLUTION: An ink jet printer 10 includes: a recording head discharging ink to a recording medium; a print heater 13 and a pre-heater 14 that are heaters applying heat that influences diameters of dots of the ink discharged from the recording head on the recording medium to the recording medium; and heater control means 20a for controlling temperatures of the printer heater 13 and the pre-heater 14. The heater control means 20a controls the temperatures of the print heater 13 and the pre-heater 14 in accordance with the number of passes that is the number of scans of the recording heat to a predetermined region of the recording medium. |
