PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-factor D antibody useful for therapy of a disorder mediated by a complement.SOLUTION: The present invention provides an antibody comprising a heavy chain and light chain variable domain sequence of murine antibodies 166-32, which can inhibit biological activity related to factor D. In another embodiment, the present invention provides a composition comprising the antibody, a cell strain and vector having the antibody sequence, and a production and use method of the antibody and composition. The present invention also provides use of the antibody for preparing a drug or composition to treat a disorder related to excessive or uncontrolled complement activation. |
