Footstep-sound insulation is only given, in the case of floating screeds, if there is no connection between the floating screed and the surrounding walls, not even, as is often the case in practice, via sound bridges by way of permanently elastic jointings. The above invention is based on these findings, said invention providing screed border strips or profiles which are either designed as T-profiles, in two shells, or as T-profiles with a soft bearing means or, as foldable sheeting, are bent and/or adhesively bonded to form the T-profile configuration, with the possibility of being attached self-adhesively on site, and/or for previous or subsequent installation on floating screeds.
