Method for manufacturing water drop tubes

The method involves extruding a body e.g. belt (2), and attaching metering elements (10) e.g. strips, in drip irrigation tubes. The metering elements are connected to the body by ultrasonic welding, where water enters the metering elements from inside of the drip irrigation tubes through inlet openings and is made to flow through the metering elements. The body is formed into a tube body, which is flattened. The flat tube body is fed between a sonotrode (6) and an anvil (7) of an ultrasonic welding device (3). The metering elements are welded to a wall of the tube body. An independent claim is also included for a device for producing drip irrigation tubes.
