Surrounding a bellows 3, joining pipes 1, 2 are co-axial cylinders 4, 5 connected to an annular ring 10 so as to form a universal joint. The cylinders 4, 5 have flanges 6, 8 which abut flanges 7, 9 respectively on the pipes and a space between the cylinders contains the ring 10 which consists of inner and outer walls 11, 12 joined by radial end walls 13, 14. The walls 13, 14 have diametrically opposite apertures 15, 16 and 17, 18 respectively displaced 90 degrees from each other through which passes projections 21, 22 and 19, 20 from the cylinders 5 and 4 respectively. Each projection has a hole which coincides with two similar holes in the inner and outer walls of the ring 10, pins 26 being inserted in the holes to form the universal joint.
