#CMT# #/CMT# The method comprises fixing a laminating material (6) that is placed on a surface of an interior trim component with a seam fixed glass (4) at an open pressure tool (1), transferring a lower tool (2) of the pressure tool with the component and glass in a laminating oven, activating an adhesive layer provided between the laminating material and the component, recycling the lower tool with the component and the glass in a laminating press of the pressure tool, closing the pressure tool by providing an upper tool (3) on the lower tool, and merging the upper and lower tools. #CMT# : #/CMT# The method comprises fixing a laminating material (6) that is placed on a surface of an interior trim component with a seam fixed glass (4) at an open pressure tool (1), transferring a lower tool (2) of the pressure tool with the component and glass in a laminating oven, activating an adhesive layer provided between the laminating material and the component, recycling the lower tool with the component and the glass in a laminating press of the pressure tool, closing the pressure tool by providing an upper tool (3) on the lower tool, merging the upper and lower tools, and forming a firmly adhering connection between the laminating material and the surface of the component. The seam fixed glass is formed as an integral part of the upper tool. The laminating material remains on the component during merging the upper tool and the lower tool. The upper tool comprises a receptacle for the seam fixed glass that is introduced into the receptacle when closing the pressure tool. The laminating material, with or without seam, comprises leather, plastic sheet, fabric, textile and artificial leather. The step of activating the adhesive layer comprises thermal activation of a heat-activatable adhesive.
