The present invention relates to a lid for a cooking container having an overflow prevention function which improves cooking efficiency, stability and simplicity of a structure by facilitating discharge of vapor and preventing overflow of ingredients of food in a process of cooking the food within a cooking container by improving a lid handle structure which is installed in the center of the lid. For the purpose, the present invention includes: the lid handle (20) which is mounted at an installation hole (11) punched in the center of a cooking container lid (10) to be separated; a dent groove (21a) is formed in a body part (21) of the lid handle; a vapor passage hole (21b) and a vapor discharge hole (21c) are formed on the bottom surface and one side of the side wall of the dent groove, respectively; and a fixation unit (23) having an insertion unit (23c) which has a through-hole (23c) inserted and screw-engaged into the vapor passage hole (21b) and connected to the vapor passage hole (21b) to be fixated with the body part (21) through the bottom surface of the lid (10). One side of an elastic material opening member (25) is installed and fixed on the bottom surface of the dent groove (21a) to control the discharged amount of vapor while automatically opening and closing the vapor passage hole (21b) according to the vapor pressure inside the cooking container body (30). An elastic spring (27) to elevate the opening member using elastic and restoration forces according to the vapor pressure is installed in between a cap (26) for sealing the top surface of the dent groove and the opening member (25). |
