The present invention relates to an electronic device and a method for operating a clipboard function capable of supporting clipboard functions of one or more objects according to user input having the number of different touch points in the electronic device. The method for operating the clipboard function of the present invention comprises: a step of monitoring the user input in a page; a step of determining the number of touch points of the user input; and a step of mapping/storing the objects and the touch point number in response to the user input or adding the objects to clip data which corresponds to the touch point number.
