A sterilizer for a handrail of an escalator is provided. The sterilizer for a handrail of an escalator can perform effective sterilization for a handrail of an escalator with a simple structure and can be conveniently and easily installed and replaced. The sterilizer for a handrail of an escalator is placed at one end of an internal space for communicating with the inlet of a housing which has the internal space for passing a handrail of an escalator. The handrail is sterilized while the top surface of the handrail adheres to the outer circumferential surface of one selected between a sterilizing roller where a guiding groove is formed on the outer circumferential surface thereof so that a sterilizing material injected from the outside can flow, and a cleaning roller where a surface cleaner is attached to the outer circumferential surface thereof in order to absorb the sterilizing material injected from the outside. |
