An overhead hoist transport system is disclosed. The overhead hoist transport system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a driving orbit unit; a carrier unit; and a branching and joining roller unit. The driving orbit unit comprises: multiple main orbits; a link orbit for connecting the multiple main orbits to each other; and a branch rail part arranged in a branch section between the multiple main orbits and the link orbit for divergent driving and having straight rail walls for straight driving and a branch rail wall for divergent driving. The carrier unit is installed in the driving orbit unit to be able to run so that it can transfer objects to a target position. The branching and joining roller unit has one or more branching and joining rollers installed in the carrier unit to be able to rotate so that it can run divergently since the carrier unit is selectively in contact with the branch rail wall of the branch rail part during the entry into the branch section. |
