Vaporisable material and capsule for use in vapour generating deviceA method for producing a vaporisable material comprising plant fibres suitable for use in a vapour generating device 1 (i.e. a simulated smoking device with electrical or chemical heating means such as an electric cigarette), which generates a vapour by heating the vaporisable material. The method comprises the step of reducing the particle size of the plant fibres to less than 1.5 mm. Several particle size ranges are combined to produce the material. The particle size may be reduced by cutting and the cut fibres may be sieved to separate fibres of different particle sizes. The vaporisable material may have plant fibres with a particle size ranging from 0.85 to 0.25 mm, further comprising a humectant. The material may have a moisture content of 5 wt% or less. Preferably the plant material is tobacco. The vaporisable material may be packaged in a capsule (20, figure 2), which may be gas-impermeable, and which opens upon heating. The humectant may be propylene glycol (propane-1,2-diol) in an amount of 20 60 wt%. |
