The method involves embedding two mounting rails (31,32) in concrete on the side of a window cut (20) in the wall and screwing a prefabricated light well (40) to the mounting rails. Cash mounting rail has multiple anchor elements, which engage in the concrete and form a positive connection with the concrete. The mounting rails are partially made of steel. A thermal insulator is mounted on the wall before screwing the light well. One of the mounting rails is integrated in a prefabricated building element. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a device for executing the method; and (2) a method for sealing the light wells with respect to a wall.
