A three dimensional position measuring apparatus and a method thereof are provided, which measures exact and various locations in the space while overcoming limit of two dimensional position measurement. A three dimensional position measuring apparatus using the supersonic waves sensor array comprises the sensor array of the plate shape, and the controller(400). The sensor array comprises one transmission sensor(200), and at least three receive sensors(300). The transmission sensor transmits the ultrasonic wave to the measurement object. The receive sensor receives the ultrasonic wave reflected from the measurement object. The controller counts the time received by each receive sensor after receiving the supersonic sound. The controller measures the location of the measurement object. |
