A Fireplace Grate comprising a planar flat base with a pair of spaced, upstanding triangular shaped frame members located at opposite ends of the base. A respective generally L-shaped member is located at the apex of each triangular frame member and each has a substantially horizontal portion extending toward the rear of the grate and a downward inclined front portion extending toward the front of the grate. A flat horizontal member extends between the rear portions of the L-shaped members, across the back of the grate, adjacent an upwardly extending finger at the end of each flat portion. An inclined flat member extends between the ends of the downward inclined portions of the L-shaped members at the front of the grate and a set of spaced cylindrical protrusions extend from the forward edge of that inclined member, extending in a forward and upward direction. A set of three spaced cylindrical rods extend, front to back, across the base of the grate and each rod includes an upward inclining portion at its rearward end. |
