An apparatus and a method for providing search results are provided. The method of the present invention includes storing, in a database, search result categories entering from the search results corresponding to a search word received from a user terminal, determining the layouts of the search results according to a type of the search word received from the user terminal, and transmitting the search results to the user terminal.
