<p>This invention relates to a cosmetic applicator such as a mascara applicator which stores a cosmetic, allows the cosmetic to adhere to a brush and cosmetically applies the cosmetic. This cosmetic applicator is provided with a cap member which has a through-hole and has a female screw that is formed in the container-side front portion of the through-hole and screws to a male screw, and a brush member which, in a state inserted into the through-hole of the cap member, is arranged slidably in the cap member, extends inside the container, and has a cosmetic application unit formed at the tip portion. The cap member has a locking unit which locks the brush member in a state in which the cosmetic application unit has been slid in a protruding direction protruding further from the cap member, and releases the locking when a force is applied to the brush member in the storing direction, which is opposite of the protruding direction, and the brush member has a contact part which, by contacting the opening of the container when the cap member is attached to the container, is restricted in position on the cosmetic application unit inside the container.</p> |
