METHOD FOR REMOVING METHYL BROMIDE AFTER SOIL FUMIGATION

PURPOSE:To provide a removing method for methyl bromide being excellent in removal capacity thereof by which human organisms and livestock are protected from harmful methyl bromide in the case of fumigating soil and methyl bromide connected with destruction of the ozone layer is prevented from being diffused in the atmosphere from a viewpoint of preservation of global environment. CONSTITUTION:An activated carbon sheet is formed by mixing activated carbon with paper. The activated carbon sheet is sprayed or impregnated with the solution of an amine compound. The sheetlike methyl bromide removing material is obtained by drying the same. Methyl bromide is removed by using the sheetlike removing material as it is or by using the sheetlike removing material worked into a filter shape.
