The present disclosure provides combinations of salicylamide compounds, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, and histamine blocking agents, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, for antagonizing unfractionated heparin, low molecular weight heparin, or a heparin/low molecular weight heparin derivative.

1. A pharmaceutical composition comprising:
a) one or more salicylamide compounds of Formula I:wherein:
n is 2 to 10; R1 is H or  where R5 is H or C1 to C9 straight or branched alkyl optionally substituted with one or more —NH2, —N(CH3)2, or each R2 is, independently, C1 to C9 straight or branched alkyl optionally substituted with one or more —NH2, —N(CH3)2, or each R3 is, independently, C1 to C9 straight or branched alkyl optionally substituted with one or more —NH2, —N(CH3)2, or  and R4 is OH, NH2, or  where A is OH or NH2, and R6 is H or C1 to C9 straight or branched alkyl optionally substituted with one or more —NH2, —N(CH3)2, oror a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; and
b) one or more histamine blocking agents, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
