Disclosed is a device for generating linear vibrations which is employed in a mobile terminal and comprises: a base; a stator which includes an external case, a coil, and a center yoke; a vibrator which includes a magnet and a weight body; and an elastic body which is installed on the stator to support the vibrator. The weight body includes a stepped part in an inner circumferential side, which contains the magnet and is tightly fixed. An outer circumference of a lower plate is smaller than an outer circumference of the magnet.
