The present invention relates to a method for aging a rubbing cloth of a liquid crystal display device. The method for aging a rubbing cloth of a liquid crystal display device according to the present invention, allows a rubbing file of the rubbing cloth to have uniform directivity by pressurizing a roller wrapped with the rubbing cloth at a predetermined pressure to be in touch with a substrate for aging, rotates the roller as many times as the predetermined number of rotation and relatively moves either the roller or the substrate for aging to generate frictional force between the rubbing cloth and the substrate for aging. The method comprises a step of primarily aging the rubbing cloth using a substrate for primary aging; and a step of secondarily aging the primarily aged rubbing cloth using a substrate for secondary aging, wherein frictional force of the substrate for secondary aging is greater than the frictional force of the substrate for primary aging, thereby the aging is divided into the primary aging and the secondary aging. In the primary aging, an angular part of an end part corner of the rubbing file can be formed into a gradually curved surface by aging the rubbing cloth to generate greater frictional force than the secondary aging. In the secondary aging, a material to be removed at the end part corner generated in the primary aging is completely removed so that foreign material due to aging can be completely removed. Furthermore, the rubbing file of the rubbing cloth is able to have more uniform directivity by the primary and secondary aging, thereby preventing rubbing mura from being generated in a rubbing process. |
