<p>Cooling plant in which the product is cooled in a hopper through which a cooling fluid, such as liq. N2 is blown; essentially, an elevating screw is fitted inside the hopper to convey the prod. from the lower end of the hopper to the top at a rate which exceeds the throughput of the plant, pref. by 5-10 times. This continued recycling of the prod. through the stream of cooling fluid results in highly efficient, homogeneous cooling with min. use of cooling fluid.</p> |
