PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for effective and appropriate decontamination treatment for effectively decontaminating concrete debris contaminated with radioactive materials, and an apparatus for the same.SOLUTION: Contaminated concrete debris 1 to be decontaminated is conveyed by a screw conveyor 2 while it is being agitated so that surface layers of the contaminated concrete debris are ground and crushed during the conveyance and generated ground powder and crushed pieces are dropped from the screw conveyor to be collected. The screw conveyor comprises: a conveying screw 4 driven by a motor 3 to be rotated; and a casing 5 for internally housing the conveying screw. At least the bottom of the casing is formed with a net material 5a through which the ground powder and the crushed pieces can pass. The screw conveyor is preferably arranged with its tip raised. |
