<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end surface polishing tool for sheet glass for polishing-processing an end surface in sheet glass.SOLUTION: An end surface polishing tool for sheet glass comprises a grinding stone part 12 in which a grinding grain structure 20 in which plural grinding grains are combined with each other by synthetic resin bonding agent is formed longitudinally and linearly, a body part 14 which houses the grinding stone part 12 and is attached to a polishing machine upon polishing processing, and a feeding mechanism 16 which feeds longitudinally the grinding stone part 12 housed into the body part 14 to protrude it outside of the body part 14. Thus, the grinding stone part 12 can be drawn out gradually as worn by usage, to be provided for polishing processing, while problems like end face drooping and consumption of loose grain are suppressed. Therefore, an end surface at a hole part 24 formed in a cover glass 22 can be polishing-processed beneficially, and breakage of the cover glass 22 can be suppressed beneficially.</p> |
