<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guide a user to stop using a transaction medium with a personal identification number written thereon to prevent unauthorized use of the transaction medium by a person who has acquired the transaction medium.SOLUTION: In a transaction medium determination system 10, an automatic transaction device 20 receives a transaction medium A used in transaction processing, acquires an image of a main surface of the transaction medium A, receives a personal identification number associated with the transaction medium A, and recognizes a description item C hand-written on the main surface of the transaction medium A on the basis of design information B showing specified design of the main surface of the transaction medium A and the acquired image of the transaction medium A; and an information processing apparatus 30 receives the personal identification number and the description item C on the transaction medium A from the automatic transaction device 20, authenticates a user on the basis of the personal identification number, and determines whether the personal identification number coincides with the description item C. The information processing apparatus 30 further causes the automatic transaction device 20 to output a guide to stop using the transaction medium A to terminate the transaction processing.</p> |
